- Navigate to Settings on your Xbox.
- Select Account, Privacy and Online Safety, Xbox Live Privacy, View Details and Customize, Online status & history, Others can see if you're online and select Everybody. This enables others to see your stream.
- Navigate back to View Details and Customize.
- Select Game Content and You can broadcast gameplay. Select Allow.
- Navigate back to View Details and Customize.
- Select Allow in Game Content, You can share content made using Kinect or another camera.
- Enable your headset and webcam as needed.
- Select Start Broadcast when you're ready.
When you first select Broadcast, you will be asked if you want to use Kinect if you have it or use a microphone. Select your mic and you're good to go.
That takes care of the broadcast part but not the saving streams as VODs part. That is a setting you need to enable within Twitch.
- Log into Twitch and select the Dashboard.
- Select Settings on the left menu.
- Enable Save Past Broadcasts partway down the page.
This setting will record and retain your live streams as VODs. If you're a free Twitch user, VODs will be kept for 14 days before being deleted. If you're a Twitch Prime or Turbo subscriber, they are kept for 60 days before being deleted. Remember to download the videos if you want to keep them before they expire.
Troubleshooting Twitch streams on the Xbox One
The streaming process is very straightforward and there is very little to go wrong. That said, there is always something that will get in the way at one point or another. Here are some basic checks you can make to ensure everything is in place to stream.

Twitch depends on WiFi as much as Xbox Live does so the first check to make is to ensure you have a decent connection.
